EZFigure is built for scientific figure generation. That means you may submit research prompts, methods text, sketches, reference images, data files, and generated outputs. This policy explains how that content may be processed so you can decide what is appropriate to use with the service.

Research Content and AI Processing

When you use AI-powered features, we may process your submitted research content, uploaded files, and generated outputs to provide the requested workflow. For example, EZFigure may use your text, data, sketch, reference image, generated figure, or refinement request to plan a figure, call an AI model, render a plot, review the result, store task outputs, or support later refinements.

EZFigure does not use your prompts, uploaded files, generated figures, task history, or other submitted research content to train EZFigure-owned models.

Some workflows may send relevant inputs and outputs to third-party AI models, such as Gemini and GPT Image, as needed to complete the generation, review, editing, or refinement task you requested. These models and related service providers process data according to their own API, commercial, and privacy terms.

EZFigure may also use third-party infrastructure, storage, analytics, email, authentication, payment, logging, and security providers as needed to operate the service. These providers may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Do not submit content that you are not authorized to use, content that cannot be processed by third-party AI services, sensitive personal data, protected health information, regulated data, confidential business information, or unpublished material that your institution, employer, collaborator, journal, funder, or contract prohibits you from uploading.

Unless we obtain your permission or state otherwise in a specific workflow, EZFigure does not use your submitted research content to publish public examples or marketing materials. EZFigure does not sell your research content.

Uploaded Files and Generated Outputs

Uploaded files may be stored temporarily or for as long as needed to provide the requested workflow, support refinements, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service integrity. Some uploaded reference files may need to be made accessible to AI providers or workflow systems so the requested generation can run.

Generated outputs and task records are private to your account by default. Other users cannot view your prompts, uploads, generated figures, task history, or related workflow records unless you choose to export, share, or publish them through a feature we provide.

Generated outputs and task records may be stored so you can view, refine, and download your work. Retention periods may vary depending on your plan, credit purchase, product configuration, and operational needs.

If a task fails because of a technical issue, EZFigure may retain logs, task metadata, and limited workflow information to diagnose the failure and improve reliability.

Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, product measurement, payment flows, and service performance. Payment providers process card and payment method details. EZFigure does not directly store full payment card numbers.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide EZFigure, maintain accounts, support generated outputs, process payments, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

Some temporary uploads may expire sooner than generated outputs or account records. Some records, such as payment, security, and audit information, may need to be retained longer where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or operational reasons.
